Paris Saint-Germain becomes the first football club to activate the CHZ Chain on its own platform, transforming digital collectibles into real-world rewards Concorde and CHZ Chain Launch a New Era in Fan Loyalty Paris Saint-Germain is taking a bold step into the future of sports engagement. The Ligue 1 champions have integrated the CHZ Chain, Chiliz’s dedicated blockchain for sports, directly into their official fan platform, Concorde. This development allows PSG to mint and distribute digital collectibles tied to tangible benefits such as match tickets, signed memorabilia, and access to exclusive experiences. Unlike past Web3 experiments in sports, this move places utility at the center. Collectibles are free to claim and come with real-world value, making them more than just digital souvenirs. A Frictionless Web3 Experience for Mainstream Fans To participate, fans do not need a crypto wallet or technical knowledge of blockchain. A standard PSG account is all that is required. With full integration into the CHZ Chain, every collectible issued on Concorde now lives on a decentralized and transparent infrastructure, giving fans ownership without the usual Web3 complexity. This approach removes one of the largest barriers to adoption, making blockchain-backed fan engagement accessible to the broader PSG community. Celebrating Silverware with Tokens and Tickets To mark its 2025 Ligue 1 McDonald’s championship, PSG is launching a commemorative drop. Additional campaigns are scheduled throughout the summer, including a July rollout of three exclusive digital collectibles, each tied to rewards such as signed jerseys, the captain’s armband, and premium match tickets. By simply claiming a collectible, fans are automatically entered into raffles for these prizes. Every interaction on Concorde now carries the potential for direct and meaningful rewards. Stadium Visitors Join the Experience The club is also extending the digital strategy to its physical infrastructure. Beginning June 6, fans visiting Parc des Princes for stadium tours will be able to claim a "memory ticket" digital collectible. Redeemable via visuals displayed on stadium screens, these tokens serve both as souvenirs and entries into monthly raffles for signed gear. With more than 300,000 annual visitors to the stadium outside of matchdays, the initiative adds a new layer of value to physical attendance. Why This Sets a New Standard in Web3 Sports Strategy Paris Saint-Germain is the first club to activate CHZ Chain functionality directly within its proprietary fan platform. This is not a third-party NFT marketplace or a licensing deal. It is an integrated loyalty framework that blends digital engagement with real-world interaction. Andrea Morando, Partnerships Director at Chiliz, said, "This collaboration reflects the close partnership between Chiliz and PSG, grounded in a shared drive for innovation and meaningful fan engagement." The initiative demonstrates how blockchain can be deployed in practical, fan-friendly ways without overcomplicating the experience or relying on speculation.
